TJ Frericks, Albany Area Schools Teacher and V Baseball Coach, other Albany Baseball coaching staff and coaching colleagues from around MN Campers will be divided into groups based on age level to ensure a fun and developmentally appropriate experience! Archery Nights
Huskie Archery Team Coaches Archery nights are for students who have been part of the Huskie Archery Team in the past or who have participated in Archery Camp, Intro to Archery or NASP Archery through another school or camp. This class is designed to give archers flight time to practice their skills on the indoor archery range with coach instruction. Bows and arrows are provided. Ballet
Amy Pennaz Grades 1-5: Join us for basic ballet technique and musicality learned through movements and positions at the barre and in the center. There will also be time spent with self expression through creative movement and learning choreography. Grades 6-12: Join us for ballet technique and musicality of movement at the barre and center. Taught by professional ballet dancer and physical therapist. Learn to move in patterns and sequence of steps across the floor. Instruction in turning, jumping techniques, alignment of posture, choreography and movement exploration. Beginners or dancers with experience are welcome. -
Boys High School Soccer League
Coach Thelen This league will give athletes a chance to gain valuable game experience for the Boys Fall Soccer season. Practices will be Sundays and Wednesdays from 6-8:00 pm. Three games are tentatively set for Thursdays in June. This will also include a weekend Tournament in Detroit Lakes on July 10/11th. Practice begins June 3. (No practice July 5). DASH Floor Hockey
DASH SportsDASH sports Summer Floor Hockey camps provide players with a well-rounded hockey experience covering a broad range of skills training and skill-based games. Players will be taught how to properly stickhandle, pass, shoot and play defense in a fun and positive environment. Athletes should wear sunscreen and bring a water bottle and a snack. Sticks and pucks are provided. -
DASH Ultimate Games Camp
DASH SportsDASH Sports Summer Ultimate Games camp provides participants with a fun experience learning and playing your favorite physical education games! Games will include: Capture the Flag, Kickball, Dodgeball, Tag games, Ultimate Frisbee/Football, Soccer, Sharks and Minnows, and more! Participants will learn teamwork and values such as respect, hustle and pride, all in a fun environment. Campers should bring a snack, water bottle, and wear sunscreen. Get Outdoors MN Explore the outdoors! Empower your child to embark on their unique learning journey through exploration, adventure, creation, design, and engineering this summer at this week-long camps. Camp includes daily exploratory learning and team-building activities, art creations, building & construction projects and guided team hikes. Girls Swimming & Conditioning Camp
Coach Schneider The competitive swim season is just around the corner and this camp will help jump-start your conditioning and technique. The camp will spend time on each of the four strokes as well as starts and turns for each. Each session will also include conditioning elements to get you in shape for the season ahead. Aaron Schwenzfeier, Strength & Conditioning Coach Huskie Sports Performance-Fundamentals introduces athletes to developmentally appropriate training with the most up to date training methods for middle school age students. Consistent time and effort spent training in the program will translate into improved performance in any athlete’s respective sport. Monthly sessions will be held from 7:15-8:00 am in the MSHS Weight Room. -
Intro to Archery Camp
Huskie Archery Team Coaches Experience the excitement as you release your first arrow and it whizzes through the air and makes contact with the target! This class is designed to give archers the necessary safety training, an introduction to using the Genesis Bow, and practice in the sport of archery. All equipment is provided and only the Genesis Bow will be allowed during the class. You may not be able to shoot an arrow on the first night of camp depending on how long the other stations take. Albany Huskies Dance Team Coaches Do you have a passion for dance? Join us for an exciting camp led by members and coaches of the Albany Huskies Dance Team! Dancers will learn fundamental techniques in the styles we perform during our winter competitive season- Kick and Jazz. In addition to developing their dance skills, participants will practice strength and stretching routines designed to support strong, healthy dancers as well as take part in team building activities/traditions that reflect the values and spirit of the Albany Huskie Dance team. MN Vikings 5-on-5 Girls Flag Football
MN Vikings 5-on-5 Flag Football (Gr 10-12) Join us as one of the new MN Vikings Flag Football leagues across the state! No experience necessary—just a positive attitude and a desire to learn and have fun. The Minnesota Vikings are funding some of our program as part of their initiative to grow the sport. You’ll be part of something special as we grow this new sport for girls in Minnesota. We have 3 specific goals for the upcoming season: Have fun learning to play flag football! We will teach you offensive and defensive schemes, terminology, and work on skill development that transfers to higher quality game play! Include as many girls as possible - We are hoping to play both a varsity & JV schedule so all athletes can play! If space doesn’t fill with Gr. 10-12, we will open it up to 9th graders. Complete a full season in the Minnesota Girls Football League! **Interest Meeting April 1st at 2:25 PM in Coach Ellingson’s classroom. Enrolling in this program should not interfere with your Spring Sports. You must provide your own transportation to and from practice and games. More details to come!
