This class is designed to give archers flight time to practice their skills on the indoor archery range with coach instruction. Bows and arrows are provided. Battle DronesYouth EnrichmentCOR Robotics Battle Drones features an exciting combination of aerial acrobatics with an engineering design challenge that will teach students STEM concepts, teamwork and how to skillfully fly a drone. In Battle Drones, teams of students will build robotic launchers designed to fling projectiles at their opponents drones. Students will be guided by experienced camp instructors in how to construct their launchers to maximize projectile speed and accuracy. The camp will culminate in an epic battle where students will need to pilot their drones to safety by dodging opponent projectiles while using their own launchers to take down opponent drones. Drone RacingYouth EnrichmentCOR Robotics Students will learn how to fly like pros in the Drone Racing League by training on a flight simulator. Once they learn the basics of flying, they’ll assemble their very own drone which they can optionally purchase during the camp. After learning drone safety and maintenance, students will take their drone to the skies and compete in numerous races and challenges. Led by experienced instructors, students will leave camp with the skills and knowledge to pilot their drones and keep them running. In this Early Childhood Swim Lesson, the participant will be in the pool with a parent/guardian or a person over the age of 16 they feel comfortable with. Our instructor will guide you in ways to interact with your child in the water to not only have fun, but learn the fundamental skills of swimming. FAST KIDS – Staying Safe While Home AloneYouth EnrichmentEmergency Outfitters First Aid and Safety Trained (FAST) Kids is a course for 7-10 year old students. Lessons cover basic first aid, water safety, vehicle safety, home emergencies, injury prevention, personal safety and healthy living. This course helps prepare children for staying at home alone. Students will receive a book, handouts and a home first aid kit as part of the class. Please bring a writing utensil, snacks, beverage(s), and lunch. Food will not be provided. This class is designed to give archers the necessary safety training, an introduction to using the Genesis Bow, and practice in the sport of archery. All equipment is provided and only the Genesis Bow will be allowed during the class. You may not be able to shoot an arrow on the first night of camp depending on how long the other stations take. Maximum class size: 3 Participants become comfortable in the water learning basic skills. Safety topics include pool rules, recognizing lifeguard, safe water entry, being able to recall name and phone number, helping yourself in an emergency and proper use of life jacket. Preschoolers who are 4 should take this level before the PS2 level. The child must be 4 years old by the start of the class and comfortable separating from their parent to enter the pool with the instructor. We’ve found that children adjust more easily when the parent says goodbye on the pool deck once the instructor is ready, then observes from above.
