Are you creative, and love to tackle problems in many different ways? Do you want to learn what Computer Science is all about and become a better problem solver along the way? CS Club is open to all students in grades 6-8. In CS Club, you will learn about coding and so much more. You will get to solve puzzles, learn how computers store information and communicate and practice working in a team. You will even get to program a real robot using Scratch! To start, we will come up with creative solutions for puzzles and challenges, and by the end of the 6-week program, we will be using our coding skills to help robots solve problems in the real world. Creativity is key, and no two solutions are ever quite the same!2026 Fall -
Middle School Knowledge BowlYouth EnrichmentPatty Peschel, Albany Area Schools Teacher Knowledge Bowl is a series of interdisciplinary academic competitions. During the competition, teams of students compete in written and oral rounds by answering questions related to all areas of learning typical of elementary or secondary educational programs. Questions test students' recall, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Practice will be held twice a week on M/T from 3:15-4:15 pm. Each team will have the opportunity to compete in meets this fall. Teams will leave for meets around 3:00 pm and will return around 8:00 pm. More information on meets will come once it's available. Transportation is included in the price of this class.2026 Fall
