3D Printing: Star Wars - Via Zoom!
Tech Academy This 3D printing camp takes students through the 3D printing process from start to finish. Students will be designing a keychain, and the 3D print will be mailed home. No experience necessary, but familiarity with doing common tasks using a computer and keyboarding is required. Fees listed include printing fee for one project. Our virtual camps feature engaging interactive instruction in a collaborative learning environment. For each session, students will also be given access to our online classroom, which will feature recordings of the lessons and a curriculum guide with all the steps covered in class, along with instructions for project extensions. To protect students’ privacy, we do not share videos of the actual classes, but we will have follow-along recordings reviewing the instructions and activities done in class. Parents will be given the option to sign up on our classroom page for a reminder email and text before the class begins. We will be using Zoom for all our classes. Home Technical Requirements for all Classes: ● Computer: PC (Windows 7 or later) or Mac (OSX) with at least a 2GHz processor and 4GB of RAM (Chromebooks, Tablets, and phones typically do not work) ● Internet: Broadband internet ● Webcam ● Microphone and Speakers ● Zoom Installed on computer *Additional Technology Required: TinkerCAD (login information provided during class). -
Albany Huskies Winter Baseball Camp (Gr K-6)
TJ Frericks, Albany Area Schools Teacher and V Baseball Coach, other Albany Baseball coaching staff and coaching colleagues from around MN Campers will be divided into groups based on age level to ensure a fun and developmentally appropriate experience! Camp focus will be on throwing mechanics, defensive skills, pitching fundamentals, hitting techniques, baserunning and fun games and skill challenges! Easter Egg Hunt - 10:15 am Group
Hop on over to the Albany Area Schools Campus on Saturday, March 28 an Easter egg hunt for Children up to Grade 5. Dress for the weather - and maybe a bit of squishy grass! Easter Egg hunters will be divided into groups of 35 with an Easter Egg Hunt specially created just for them! Please register children individually. Parents are welcome to attend, but do not need to register themselves. Locations will be shared at a later date. The Albany High School National Honor Society students are excited to host their annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, March 28. Here’s what you need to know: The Easter Egg Hunt will be indoors -- in the hallways and pods of Albany High School. Please park in the main lot (this is different than last year!) Enter the building through door 1 (the front door of the high school). Before and/or after your scheduled hunt, join us for a few spring festivities: pictures with the Easter Bunny and Make-and-Take crafts. Your hunt will start precisely at your scheduled time. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated. Check your registration confirmation email from Albany Community Education so you know your hunt location: Location One, Two, Three, or Four. Each child should bring their own basket and will be able to find up to 15 eggs. Register for a chance to win a bike! Watch your email the week before the hunt for a chance to register to win a bike! Age as of 9/1/25 (so the beginning of this past school year)-As of now we are only opening U10 up to current 5th graders (not current 4th graders) Join Albany Summer Softball and have fun, enjoy being part of a team, learn the fundamentals of the game and compete against other Central Minnesota teams. The league tries to keep all travel within one hour; however, this is not always possible. Practices will be held one week night per week (based on coach and field availability) with double header games 45 min each game) Thursday evenings at 6:00 pm. Please note-Elementary Softball and U10 Travel Softball both have game nights on Thursdays, so you can only be in one or the other. Parent coaches are needed and receive free registration! Huskie Sports Performance-Fundamentals
Aaron Schwenzfeier, Strength & Conditioning Coach Huskie Sports Performance-Fundamentals introduces athletes to developmentally appropriate training with the most up to date training methods for middle school age students. Consistent time and effort spent training in the program will translate into improved performance in any athlete’s respective sport. Monthly sessions will be held from 7:15-8:00 am in the MSHS Weight Room. -
MN Vikings 5-on-5 Girls Flag Football
MN Vikings 5-on-5 Flag Football (Gr 10-12) Join us as one of the new MN Vikings Flag Football leagues across the state! No experience necessary—just a positive attitude and a desire to learn and have fun. The Minnesota Vikings are funding our program as part of their initiative to grow the sport. You’ll be part of something special as we grow this new sport for girls in Minnesota. We have 3 specific goals for the upcoming season: Have fun learning to play flag football! We will teach you offensive and defensive schemes, terminology, and work on skill development that transfers to higher quality game play! Include as many girls as possible - We are hoping to play both a varsity & JV schedule so all athletes can play! If space doesn’t fill with Gr. 10-12, we will open it up to 9th graders. Complete a full season in the Minnesota Girls Football League! **Interest Meeting April 1st at 2:25 PM in Coach Ellingson’s classroom. In this hands-on, high-energy course, young scientists will explore the wonders of chemistry using the scientific method to guide their wild investigations. This session transforms ordinary household items- like baking soda, vinegar, milk, soap and food coloring- into spectacular experiments that pop, fizz, foam and surprise. Snack also provided! -

Spring Youth Swim Camp
Coach Schneider Love the water? Here's your chance to learn to be a competitive swimmer! This camp will give you an introduction to all four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly), teach you corresponding turns for each, and show the proper technique for racing starts off the blocks. The last day of class will include a fun mini-meet. Must be able to swim 25 yards of front crawl without stopping. Register by March 27 to guarantee a t-shirt. All participants will need to enter and exit Door 18, which is by the West Staff parking lot. -
Sweethearts & Sugar Art Mini Camp ►Gr K- 8
Join us for a heart-filled evening of creativity, sweetness and fun! In this Valentine’s themed youth class, kids will roll up their sleeves and dive into the delicious world of dessert decorating. First we’ll design and decorate festive sugar cookies bursting with love and color. Then, after a tasty dinner break generously provided by our instructor Ms. B, we’ll get back to the fun by crafting adorable Cupid-Inspired cake pops. -
Youth: Park Play Day Camp
Get Outdoors MN Parents - enjoy time to yourselves while your child has fun in the great outdoors! Our licensed staff will facilitate learning experiences using a play-based learning approach. Park Play Camps are committed to offering the balance of self-directed and self-driven learning through inquiry, play, and freedoms to design & create. Campers can expect to engage in healthy risk-taking and “soft”/”essential”/”life” skills (i.e. the interpersonal attributes of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creation). (Child must be toilet trained to attend.) As the date approaches, you will be emailed specific information such as the address of the park, the location in the park to drop off the camper, what to pack, and what to expect.
