    Hannah Carlson Girls come to engage in non-contact, continuous action flag- football, while learning lessons based on teamwork. This course will teach the rules and skills needed to know how to join our MN Vikings Flag Football girls team for grades 10-12. T-shirts will be ordered after the first session.
  • Hike at Night: Families

    Get Outdoors MN Join us for a unique and exhilarating experience under the stars! We will go on a guided nighttime hike that will take you on a journey through the wonders of the dark. All hikes are guided, and glow sticks are provided to create a magical atmosphere. Enjoy a s'more smorgasbord around the campfire as you listen to the sounds of the night. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Huskie Archery Team

    Albany Area Community Education is proud to offer the National Archery in the Schools Program. Both new and returning archery (District 745 only) students are welcome! Our trained instructors will focus on teaching proper skills and safety for the sport of archery. All necessary equipment for participation is provided. Only NASP approved equipment is permitted to be used in practice or at tournaments (personal Genesis Bows will be allowed but must be approved by coaching staff prior to use). Practices will be held on Sunday evenings in the BECC. Additional practices may be added, depending on gym and coach availability. New archery team members will be required to do safety training the first evening of class. (NEW this year-4/5th grade archers only eligible to compete in the local I-94 league tournaments- (not NASP state tournament). First 3 Practices: Separated by Beginners or Returning Sun Dec 6, 13, 20 Beginners (First Time in NASP or first time was this past summer): 5:00-6:00 pm Returning (In NASP Last Season): 6:00-7:00 pm Remaining Practices: Choose Your Time Preference Sun Jan 3-Mar 28 (No Class 12/27, 1/24, 3/7, or 3/21- Practices subject to change without reimbursement) The last practice will be the banquet which is included in this cost. Session 1: 5:00-6:00 pm OR Session 2: 6:00-7:00 pm You will select your preference for practice time in Arux upon registration. We will do our best to accommodate your preference. Please be checking your emails as we send out lots of updates in this program. Archery is coached by volunteer coaches that have gone through training and background checks. We could not do this program without their commitment, so please make sure to thank them and be respectful of their time. Parents are asked to be quiet during practices and to keep other children at home if possible. No food or drink should be brought into the BECC. Tournaments will be held on Saturdays at the below locations. Everyone will be registered for the Albany Huskie Archery Tournament on February 20, 2027, but we ask that you still register for FREE in Arux so we know you plan on attending. All other tournament registrations are optional and will be an additional fee of $12 per tournament. Tournament registration and deadlines to register will be shared as they are made available. Parents will be responsible for transporting their students to/from the tournaments. Team members participating in tournaments will be assigned a one-hour flight slot and they will be free to leave after their flight. You must participate in 2 tournaments in order to be eligible at the state tournament. You don't need to qualify for state to compete, if you want to go, you can sign up.   • Huskie Pups Volleyball Club

    Coach Hines & Staff Head Volleyball Coach Hines and his staff are offering five sessions to teach and develop the fundamentals of volleyball for 4th-6th grade girls. Athletes will get repetitions of serving, passing, setting, attacking skills. Team serve receive, offense and defense will be emphasized as well. Four-on-four, five-on-five and six-on-six competitions will be incorporated. T-shirts will be ordered after the first session.
  • Huskie Sports Performance-Fundamentals

    Aaron Schwenzfeier, Strength & Conditioning Coach Huskie Sports Performance-Fundamentals introduces athletes to developmentally appropriate training with the most up to date training methods for middle school age students. Consistent time and effort spent training in the program will translate into improved performance in any athlete’s respective sport. Monthly sessions will be held from 7:15-8:00 am in the MSHS Weight Room. (meets 6 times per month, NOT every T/TH)
  • Junior Huskies Dance Clinic

    Albany Dance Team Coaches & Athletes You are invited to dance with the Albany Huskies Dance Team! We will learn skills that the Huskies use during winter season, play fun dance activities, as well as learn and perform a routine at the halftime of the Varsity Football Game. A meal will be provided and pom poms for you to keep! Please register before Sept 18 at 12 pm to guarantee a t-shirt and pom poms.
  • Powder Ridge Ski Club

    Join our new Powder Ridge Ski club! Specify if you want transportation only, lesson, equipment rental (ski or snowboard) and lift ticket. Adult chaperones are needed and will receive free skiing (call Community Ed). All participants must ride the bus to and from Powder Ridge. Registration deadline is Monday, Nov 30 at Noon. Helmet fee is $15 extra, If min of 25 not met, club will be canceled. If providing your own equipment, it must have metal bottoms and retaining straps. Students must bring their own money to purchase grill and snack items at Powder Ridge. Not responsible for lost or stolen items. Ski club is dependent on Securing chaperones. Select your price: $230 (includes lift ticket, rental of equipment, and transportation) $175 (includes transportation and lift ticket; bring your own equipment) $85 (includes transportation; you have your own lift ticket and own equipment) *Transportation cost is not refundable Do you want us to charge $15 extra for a helmet for all 4 ski club dates?   • Youth Bowling Program at ABC

    Steve Bates & ABC Staff Our youth bowling program is a great way to have fun and stay fit. Bowling promotes learning of math skills by calculating scores, figuring averages and learning mathematical systems to adjust to lane conditions and spare shooting. In addition, organized bowling programs provide life skills such as time management and understanding winning and losing. There are no barriers to participation and no one sits on the bench in bowling. Enjoy three games of fun each session and free use of bowling shoes. Pick your price - $189 with a new ball or other bowling accessory or $149 without. Students will bowl right after school at 12:30 pm on Early Release Days and at 3:30 pm on Non-School Days and At-Home Learning Days. Transportation for this program is not available through Albany Area Schools district transportation. There may be a transportation option available through the Albany Bowling Center.     Get Outdoors MN Parents - enjoy a FULL day to yourselves while your child has fun in the great outdoors! Our licensed staff will facilitate learning experiences using a play-based learning approach. Park Play Camps are committed to offering the balance of self-directed and self-driven learning through inquiry, play, and freedoms to design & create. Campers can expect to engage in healthy risk-taking and “soft”/”essential”/”life” skills (i.e. the interpersonal attributes of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creation). Child must be toilet trained to attend. As the date approaches, you will be emailed specific information such as the address of the park, the location in the park to drop off the camper, what to pack, and what to expect.
